Let me introduce myself

I have more than 30 years of experience delivering successful training and communication programs to State and Federal organizations. She has been a project manager for 25 years. With my degree in communications and background in strategic planning and public outreach, I develop training programs that specialize in clearly communicating information to students, and create course exercises that help students retain new skills and knowledge.

My experience

eLearning

  • Led the team that developed the Roadway Safety Fundamentals course for the National Highway Institute (NHI).
  • Created internal Project Management Basics course for Ideation, Inc.
  • Led the team that developed the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) eGrants training and FEMA Grants Outcome (GO) online training courses,
  • Developed nine web-based training (WBT) modules based on the Post-Tensioning Tendon Installation and Grouting Manual for NHI.

Videos

  • Developed 17 video information modules for the NHI for Local Public Agencies on various aspects or the NHI Grants program Federal-Aid Essentials.
  • Managed the development of 15 videos on the FEMA GO software for FEMA.
  • Developed videos on various project management processes such as using project management software for Ideation, Inc.

Apps & Publications

  • Managed the development of the Bridge Inspection Reference Manual app using Government Furnished Information (GFI) to take the two-volume (2000-page) reference manual and make it accessible for bridge inspectors where they needed it when they needed it. Met with subject matter experts to determine the features desired in the app.
  • Managed the development for the creation of a hard copy and html-based versions of the second edition of the Post-Tensioning Tendon Installation and Grouting Manual with new system components, testing requirements and standards.

ILT

  • Managed the development of a comprehensive online and classroom training program, as well as instructed the Benefit-Cost Analysis training for the revised Benefit Cost Analysis software.
  • Worked with another instructional designer to create two Advanced Public Involvement Officer training courses, including a full-scale 5-day exercise course for EMI.

Project Management

  • Managed task orders including managing the personnel, schedule, and budget for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Distance Learning Training Development contract.
  • Managed the development and revision of materials as well as training delivery for the National Emergency Management Advanced Academy (NEMAA) for EMI.
  • Managed several fixed price training Task Orders simultaneously under FEMA’s 4-year, $4.5 million Hazard Mitigation Technical Assistance Program (HMTAP) Training Assistance contract.
  • Managed the development of a project management curriculum for emergency managers for the University of Maryland.
